Technology Overview:
Many facial recognition products using visible light-based (color) recognition technology have trouble recognizing registered user under different light conditions. When these products capture image of a user, the image clarity and quality is affected by the surround illuminations. In a relatively bright or dark environment, the captured image could be blurry or fuzzy. As a result, these facial recognition products can only operate accurately in a light controlled environment.
PSP Security facial recognition system, however, is using infrared-based facial recognition technology. Our system provides an active light source (Infrared light) to illuminate the capturing object. Its advanced optical module can filter the ambient light and captures clear infrared image of a user. Hence, changing light conditions or object background has minimal impact to our captured image quality. As a result, our facial recognition system can operate accurately in a wide range of light conditions (complete darkness to semi-outdoor environment).
As part of our continuous product improvement process, our strategic partners (security system integrator, government agency, financial institution, property management company, etc) test our facial recognition system regularly and provide us valuable inputs. As a result, PSP Security can collect up-to-date customer requirements and fine-tune our facial recognition products to satisfy the changing market and customer requirements.
